October 14, 2022
Dear Parent/Guardian:
With Halloween approaching, I would like to invite all interested students to come to school in costume on Monday, October 31, 2022. Please note that this will be a regular instructional day. If your child chooses to wear a costume, please observe the following:
- Students should not wear Halloween masks to school
- Students should not bring props that need to be carried with them
- Costumes should not include weapons
- Costumes should be appropriate for school
The guidelines listed above are intended to ensure the safety of all students. Any prohibited items will be confiscated and must be picked up by a parent no later than 3:00 p.m. on November 1, 2022. Items that are not picked up will be donated to the less fortunate or disposed of.
Finally, at approximately 1:50 p.m. on October 31, 2022 students in kindergarten through third grade will parade around the school perimeter in their costumes. Parents are invited to gather in the school perimeter to watch the parade!
Students will return to the school for a normal dismissal following the parade.
Please note that any treats sent in for classes must be store bought and individually wrapped. I also ask that you refrain from sending in treats that include nuts.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Regards,
Tom Carty
Principal
